Domenico Piva deals in antiques since the 1960s; “a son of the art world”, he opened his first gallery in 1970 on Via Sant’Andrea, a street for which he holds great affection, and since which time Domenico Piva has relocated three times. The gallery can now be found on Via Bigli. The shop is organized in two levels where much of the art work is displayed.
With a philosophy strongly oriented to quality, Piva&C primarily carries art and furniture of 18th century Venice and Lombardy, but a variety of European antiques can also be found. In the last years, Domenico Piva’s interest has ventured to very high quality sculptures and old masters painting. All the items offered are in excellent condition – the related condition reports are at disposal for further information.
With the mix of a passion of a collector and the knowledge of a professional, Domenico Piva has attained recognition from the most well known antiquarians established in Italy.
The gallery participates in the important Italian fairs and shows, as well as those internationally: Florence, Rome, Milan, Maastricht….
Domenico Piva has been the President of the Italian Antiquities Art Dealers Association ( F.I.M.A.) for several years.
